GASBON METABOLISM is pleased to present the solo exhibition, "Situation als Akt 2/ Situation as Act 2", by German sculptor Philipp Groth.
This exhibition is a traveling exhibition of the show "Situation als Akt 12,39,72,3,16/ Situation as Act 12,39,72,3,16" held at the CON_ gallery in Bakurocho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo. The exhibition will feature charcoal drawings and a series of works composed of wood, clay, and metal.
The realization of this exhibition came about when Philipp, who was preparing for his first solo exhibition in Japan earlier this year, visited GASBON METABOLISM for research. His works explore the ephemeral connections found within human perception, objects, space, and the body in relation to their environment and will be displayed in a gallery that, while retaining its former background as a factory, advocates for metabolism.
