PG: I had to scan my laptop screen to bypass [Netflix's] screenshot restrictions and capture the still. [...] I liked how the movement of the sensor across the screen and the moving character [on the right] together create a document of what has been. I felt I could use this similar to a long exposure camera, especially for this scene.

[...] the transition to pencil and paper simply came from a wish to spend more time with the image, observing its authority, stability, and material presence. It felt important to work out the light and shadows in an actual material like graphite and clay.
