About the Artist
Max Frisinger is a passionate collector. On his nocturnal excursions and field research trips through the city, he has refined the tracking down of bulky waste and junk into a working technique that already anticipates the idea of sculptural repurposing in the very act of finding and sorting.
Whatever he selects has instantly left behind its transformation from waste to material of value. In his assemblages and installations, everyday objects come together to form abstract compositions, without, however, denying their former utilitarian character. As relics of urban life, they remain indicators of the condition of society.
