A motion study on sixteen-millimeter monochrome is deconstructed hierarchically across three channels using analog and digital effects in the tradition of a zoetrope. Depending on the angle from which the black steel "canvas" are viewed, the relationship, intensity and sharpness of the projections varies. The work is not only reconstructing an apparatus from early cinema with modern Technology, asking about progress and standstill in moving image making at large, but also references the relationship of film and military. Interrupted by the "shutter", the accelerating motion further evokes associations with gun violence in the US.
